Accessible Travel from Salisbury to Stonehenge

Stonehenge is committed to being accessible to all visitors ÔÇö and getting there from Salisbury is manageable for visitors with mobility requirements, provided you plan ahead.

Salisbury Train Station

Salisbury Railway Station has step-free access via ramps and lifts on all platforms. Staff assistance is available ÔÇö contact National Rail Enquiries or your train operator to request help in advance. The station is equipped with accessible toilets and level access throughout the main building.

From the Station to Caboose

Caboose is a short, level walk directly opposite the station exit. The pavement is smooth and wide. The zebra crossing is equipped with tactile paving and audible signals. The route is fully accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility aids.

The Shuttle

Please contact us in advance on 01722 504858 to discuss passenger requirements. Our vehicle capacity is 12 passengers and we want to make sure every guest can travel comfortably. We will do our best to accommodate all accessibility requirements.

At Stonehenge

The Stonehenge Visitor Centre is fully accessible. English Heritage operates an accessible route to the stone circle via a firm, level path suitable for standard wheelchairs and pushchairs. A golf buggy shuttle (free of charge) is available for visitors who cannot walk the path. Guide dogs are welcome on site. Blue Badge holders receive free car parking ÔÇö note that this requires using the car park rather than the shuttle.
